Vain support and vain silence?

The Amritanandamayi issue bursted just a few month before the Indian general election of 2014. The left parties leaders chose to remain silent, supposedly by fear of the devotees wrath which could deprive them from precious votes. Sumptuous birthday

2 days before the 2014 new eve, we are in a mood for celebration. Precisely Amritanandamayi's 50th birthday was celebrated 10 years ago, in 2003 and yet the whole world still remembers this incredible event. Join us for a backstage tour.

Global holiness

“Amma needs no propaganda. Does the ever-radiant Truth need any propaganda?". Yet, we kindly ask you to look at her media review and to be impressed by her worldwide connections. This could be the summary of Amritapuri's media page : denying propaganda while making a lot of it. Striking detail : there is not a single indian media on this page, almost only western ones. Why? The beginning of the article is also striking :
"When Amma first manifested her mission of Love in the mid ’70s, it was not advertised in the press, and no one wrote a story about it afterwards for the daily news. Still, hundreds came that day, and thousands kept coming."
This is not true.

Amrita Enterprises Private Limited

"Many people think that spirituality is against making money. This is why many label spirituality as retrogressive. Spirituality is not against wealth or fame". This quote is from Amma herself.

AIMS is not a charitable hospital

This statement is written on this official advertisement page. The "Financial" section states that AIMS primary source of funding revenue is "out of pocket payments". Another article which promotes Amma's work emphasizes that AIMS "is engaged in serious research and affordable treatment to people all over India and abroad". Moreover this statement is also clearly written into an article which is meant to support Amma in relation to a highly publicised event. In 2012, a young girl named Swathi Krishna was in need of liver transplant.
