In union there is strength

We believe that Indian guru Mata Amritanandamayi known as the “Hugging Saint” is Embezzling The World. Help us to spread the truth about her.

The one who gathers darkness

"Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfills the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.”  said Sir Winston Churchill, former prime minister of the United Kingdom. We logically expect a spiritual leader to be more enlightened than a politician. How does Amritanandamayi reacts to criticism? A guru's behavior certainly teaches us priceless lessons.

Unfortunately, such is not the case. The blogger Amma Kali Doll has recently posted an article entitled Amma Hires Expensive Attorney To Suppress Our Free Speech. In short, a very powerfull american laywer has been paid to legally force Google to disclose the blogger's identity. The man who initiated the case might not be wealthy enought to afford for such an expensive service. Therefore the intentions and means could originate from Amritanandamayi herself. The goal is surely to threaten the bloggers in order to break down the blog, to have a brighter reputation on the internet.

Has she planned the same for us? Will she try to destroy Embezzling The World? Legal threat seems to be her favorite weapon to keep a clean and neat media image, she has been using it for a long time.

When Sreeni Pattathanam wrote a book about her, she filed a suit against him. The book is now forbidden.

When the people massively criticized her for charging high fees in her so called charitable hospital, a case has been taken against the internet users who liked and shared Swathi Krishna's facebook page. There is no more trace about this scandal on the internet.

The european magazine which interviewed Gail Tredwell has been legally threatened. The interview has been removed a few days after its publication.

When a dedicated worker leaves her institution and asks for compensations, she files a suit to avoid paying what she legally owes.

Amritanandamayi's followers have correctly understood their guide's precious lessons. When an indian politician dares criticizing her, they stage a march and threatened to initiate legal action.

As a reminder for those who haven't correctly caught the lesson, Amritanandamayi's closest disciple calls the devotees to harass those who dare utter any negative word against their "most beloved Amma", who is their "God and guru". Do they have to use their private email address so that it looks like a spontaneous popular move instead of a planned action?

Today the blog Amma Taavi Kassila Sex Cover Up is legally threatened.

She has already manage to break down another ex-devotees blog called Cult Of The hugging Saint.

Many other people have faced legal threats or harassment, they have chosen to remain anonymous and silent, by fear of the consequences.

Who's next?

"Guru" means "the one who dispels darkness", so how come that she prevents the light from shedding on herself? She pretends to dispel our darkness while allowing herself to dwell in the middle of it? How long will we have to live in fear of the Embodiment of Love? Are there any crumbs of spirituality left in her organization?

The spiritual scriptures are full of stories where the wise ones display incredibly clever unseen reactions in face of criticisms and attacks. Their examples strike us deeply and change our view of life. Can Amritanandamayi equally teach us true actual wisdom through her behavior? No, there won't be any amazing lesson. Her powerfull global devotees pick up the phone to call powerfull global lawyers who charge powerfull global fees. Does she use the money of the charities to cover the high expenses?
Dear reader, if you have donated to save a poor little indian child from starvation, know that perhaps your contribution is currently on the bank account of a lawyer. The lawyer surely thanks you for increasing his wealth. Amritanandamayi surely thanks you for helping to clean her media image.

Hugging saint? Mother of Compassion? Ever Radiant Truth? Embodiment of Love? Guru? God? All these extraordinary titles sound like jokes when we imagine her begging a lawyer to fix her stained online reputation. Buddha sloken is so right : "Amma therefore does not take refuge in the divine, but in ownership, patents and Lawyers ... Had Amma been able to patent love, we can be sure that she had done that too".
