Why is she awarded by RSS?

Her devotees claim that she has no political connection. They say that all kinds of politicians come to see her because they are passionate spiritual seekers :-) looking for spiritual guidance ;-))

Yet,  on July 2014 an organisation called Vishwa Samvad Kendra Bharat (VSK Bharat) has decided to reward her. The Balagokulam Janmashtami Award will be bestowed on Her Holiness in September. Is it planned for her birthday? Why such a honor?

"This award is in recognition for Amma’s messages which always highlights the love of Lord Krishna as well as Her emphasize on the significance of unconditional devotion for the spiritual upliftment of the society"

We should keep in mind that VSK Bharat is affiliated to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) which is the para-military branch of the nationalist federation Sangh Parivar.

The award committee includes P Narayana Kurup, who is convinced that Amritanandamayi has an agenda for the Indian nation. He was awarded by Amritanandamayi in 2005, when he got the Amrita Keerti Award.

P Parameswaran is another member of the committee. He is a renowned thinker, member, director, founder of many institutions dedicated to Hindutva. As luck would have it, he has been awarded too by Amritanandamayi in 2002.

Swami Chidananda Puri who also voted for her, has given previously an interview to another RSS Keralite media to inform us that the M.A. Math is part of an ashrams network which seems to be very active on the political scene under the banner of 'Sanathana Dharma Parishad'.

One of her others admirers is C.G Rajagopal who attended to an event to inaugurate a new RSS building in Thiruvananthapuram, along with a representative sent by Amritanandamayi.

T.P Rajan Master presided over functions in a Hindu convention, while M.A. Math general secretary Swami Poornamritanandapuri led a puja in which hundreds of disciples of Mata Amritanandamayi participated. He also presided over function in RSS events.

Sri S. Jayakrishnan is the General Secretary of ISK, a project of model village which is supported by RSS, for the whole world to experience the way of life of Krishna. Swami Poornaamritanandapuri, General Secretary of the M.A. Math is one of the patron of this project.

They all know each other, they reward each other, they realize projects together... They invite each other to all kinds of celebrations and politics is never too far. Just as if by chance, it is always related to Sangh Parivar. Who can still believe that Amritanandamayi has no special political connection with the Hindutva scene?
People in India know that she has strong ties with Sangh Parivar because they can witness these facts daily. She only needs to hide from her western devotees who believe that she is only concerned with spirituality.
