Her facebook finally ranks beyond the 1% threshold. More than 1% of the more than 30 millions of people that she supposedly hugged, like her in return in social media. Who are they?

Some of them can be seen on the widget that is included on various websites for internet users to like her. Indeed, this Facebook widget displays a block of 8 randomly picked followers. Refreshing the website's page shows 8 other likers.

But refreshing constantly a webpage to guess the profile of 500 000 people is tedious. So let's take a look at the likes statistics.

What for a surprise! Most of her followers are located in Bangalore, Karnataka and they are between 18 and 24 years old! We try to remember Amritanandamayi's programs in India and abroad. The average age of her devotees is definitely not 18-24. What is so special about young people in Bangalore?

The only special thing that we have found which involves young people there is Amrita Vidyalayam (CBSE) - Bangalore. Did she require the teenage students of all her schools to like her on Facebook? She has 49 schools so far, each having hundreds (thousands?) of students. That's a lot of people. Is her organization able to manipulate young people like that? We kindly ask you to have a look at the way her schools are managed to make up your own mind.
